May has seem to fly by,
Yet it brought mostly sighs.
The month didn't go the way I planned,
It wasn't close to being bland.
College has started to freak me out,
The paperwork is overwhelming but I must not pout.
The first problem is orientation,
It is only two days before graduation.
I'm not suppose to miss practice,
But both are too important to miss.
I found out I have no finals that day,
That at least keeps that worry out of the way.
Still orientation is something I need to attend,
But graduation is what marks the end.
I suppose I will miss just one day,
College is the start of my future anyway.
Senior year is going by fast,
Soon enough it'll be in the past.
Before everything is said and done,
I must take the A.P. test. What fun!
It's the final push before senior service,
All the test prep is making me nervous.
Multiple choice here, free response there,
Practice tests are scattered everywhere.
I try to recap a chapter a night,
Hopefully that will ease some fright.
The practice tests have been helpful,
This is a test I can mostly handle.
Studying each day is probably the best,
I'll find out when it comes to the test.
Once this test is done and over,
Senior year will be at it's closure.
So many things have to get done,
Senior year is almost over I just want to have fun.
Gold Award finally complete,
It was so much work I was beat.
Just a few more things to cross off my list,
But still don't know which college to enlist.
I narrowed my choice down to two,
Yet still unsure of what to do.
Both colleges have what I need,
To boost me higher and have me succeed.
With enrollment dates coming to an end,
Does anyone have some advice they could lend?
My parents told me to see my counselor,
Maybe they could lead me to the right answer.
Once I talk to them I should know,
Which college would be the best for me to go.
When that's over I can see,
That more things will be stress free.
To get caught up is a must,
If not I'll be alone in the dust.
Trying to get caught up is a chore,
It's a difficult thing to do but not a bore.
Something is always on your plate,
But you don't want to stay up late.
Work comes before play,
I don't want to delay.
No room to procrastinate,
Everything has a due date.
Piece by piece I work on it,
Sometimes I want to quit.
Hour by hour goes by,
And I sit here and try,
One paper done two more to go,
This isn't too bad once there's a flow.
Time and effort is all it takes,
For me to be caught up to everyone's pace.
Senior year is half way done
All I want to do is have some fun.
But January has been rough
Getting through midterms is tough.
In math we have barely reviewed
It got me got mad I lost my cool.
In statistics we had a test
I had no clue I tried my best.
Then I had calc class
It was not a blast.
We still had no study guide
I was about to lose my mind.
Instead of worrying about midterms
I was faithful on what I had learned.
To go home and study more
I was surrounded by books galore.
Midterm time came
I knew this wasn't just a game.
